More on the WA Beta fire of 1949
We had a great response to the newspaper clippings of the Great WA Beta Fire in the summer newsletter. Among those who commented, Dean Scotton ’52, sent us more newspaper clippings from that date (some shown here) and several old Tyee yearbooks from that era for the WA Beta Library. Thank you Dean!

Some interesting notes gleened from the paper’s report:
• The chapter was reformed after WWII in 1946 with just 6 members. 20 brothers were in the house at the time of the fire.
• That night, alumni held an event to raise money for a piano for the chapter.
